Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2012 (International Trade) WinnerThe Directors and staff of LMK Thermosafe Ltd are pleased to announce that the Company won the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2012. Across the UK, this award has been won by 151 Companies, of which only 17 are in the East of England..

The Company manufactures industrial drum and container heaters for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, and exports the majority of production from its Haverhill headquarters to over 60 countries.

The heaters are used in diverse manufacturing operations ranging from melting of ingredients for waxes, resins and paints, toothpastes, cosmetic gels and creams, automotive oil blending facilities and Middle Eastern desert crude oil extraction systems through to processing of honey, syrups and vegetable oils for cereal bars, yoghurts and sauces in the food industry.

Our flagship THERMOSAFE® Induction Drum Heater continues to be accepted as the solution of choice for projects in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. Its energy efficiency, speed of heating and maintenance free operation all contribute to the product’s success.

To build export growth in recent years the Company implemented specialist certification programmes and new product developments, broadening capability in wider geographic markets. The FARATHERM™ Base Heater and INTELIHEAT™ wrap-around IBC (bulk container) heater have both been launched to solve specific technical challenges in hazardous area applications and have gone on to global commercial success.
